My November Craft

Here's my very own beaded necklace and  origami flower in water bottle cut into 1/2 filled with paper stars. Took time for me to fill this one with stars...:) I actually found some old shirts and tops of mine and patiently removed the beads on it. So I  counted and joined them all. I had to calculate carefully the beads according to color so that I will not have to start from the beginning - but it did not happen, I had to repeat the process cos some beads are less.  :). The last are  made from paper- paper beads bracelet and necklace.

Paper stars & A handmade card for dear hubby

Making paper star is really addictive. Couldn't stop myself on doing more. And I am also sharing the birthday card that I made recently for my partner, well the message inside is for his eyes only.

Origami Flower, Paper Star & Tiny Shrub

Started creating origami flower last week and it's really fun and relaxing - thanks to jonakashima's YouTube tutorial. The paper star is an old hobby, suddenly I felt creative with my colored papers and had to search my glass bottles. By the way the bottle's length is 15 cm only, though it looks huge but it's small and very cute.

'Was a plain black pouch

Couple of months back, I have got souvenir bag from a bank. Since I won't be able to use it for going outdoor, I sewed a cover like similar to the pouch size and voila! And it's strap is adjustable too.  The pouch is covered with this cloth I've done. Now I can proudly use it anywhere I want.

The Trip to Srisailam

I recently got back from a Srisailam 2 day trip, the place is gorgeous and very peaceful. The whole trip was amazing but since we went there without making any hotel booking we had trouble finding any vacant rooms for us. All hotels were fully booked. Well, while driving around we found a huge park with clean bathrooms nearby, so we had to camp out there full night. The experience was fun and new. It was worth visiting.
This snap made our day.

Plarn Box

Created this one few couple of weeks ago, 8 inches long and 4 inches in height. This is more time consuming compare to the round plarn basket. But this one is really useful for me, very handy while I crochet for keeping my crochet stuff.

Another plarn basket

This plarn work is created/crocheted from milk plastic bags.  The first one is a round basket where you can store 2 kilos of onion and the second one is great for keeping your set of nail polish.

The formula is as follows: inc by 12 every row.

Note: sl st in the top of the beginning ch-3 at the end of each round.
Alternate making the increase in the first dc every other round.

Round 1: Begin with 12 dc in ring.
Round 2: increase in every dc. (24 dc)
Round 3: increase every other dc.(1 dc between increases) (36 dc)
Round 4: make 2 dc between increases. (48 dc)
Round 5: make 3 dc between increases. (60 dc)

Continue increasing dc between increases until circle is desired size.

Please note that if you are making a really large circle, like a blanket for a round bed, after it gets so large, you have to increase more. I like to go by this rule: If you get to the number of rounds that you have stitches in the first round, (round 12) add one increase half-way between increases. Since round 12 is 10 between increases, make 5 sts between increases, and continue as before; with 6 on round 14, etc.

Plarn Basket Crochet

Just created this basket (7'' in height and roundness) from plastic bags by doing double crochet. The plastic bags are 40 microns thick in my city so it's very nice for plarn crocheting.
These are like transparent bags that a supermarket here is providing from their vegetable section, I thought of collecting it, even If I had to wash the dirty bags, thought of recycling plastic bags instead of throwing it. And the edging on top of this plarn basket is done from milk packets bags.
