Crochet a ball

Mine accidentaly came out oval shaped instead of round. I only needed to try how to crochet a ball so I followed the instructions from the link mentioned below sadly my ball did not turn out round, it's oval ( very funny ).  Well nothing's harm on trying, I guess I haven't followed the instructions well. My crochet ball looks like more of a hanging cocoon. lol! I think I skipped some stitches while finishing, it's decreased so it turned long.

Pouch

I am going to try this anytime today or tomorrow.
This cute pouch is designed by Kathleen Sams.
Crochet Hook: 3.25 mm [US D-3].
Image used is only for illustration and owned by Kathleen Sams.

Split lock stitch marker; yarn needle.
Pouch measures 3” x 3”.
GAUGE: 14 sts = 2”; 16 rounds = 2” in sc rounds.

Round 1: Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook; DO NOT JOIN but work in continuous rounds. Mark end of round. Move marker up each round.
Round 2: [Inc] 6 times – 12 sc.
Round 3: [Inc, sc in next sc] 6 times – 18 sc.
Round 4: [Inc, sc in next 2 sc] 6 times – 24 sc.
Round 5: [Inc, sc in next 3 sc] 6 times – 30 sc.
Round 6: [Inc, sc in next 4 sc] 6 times – 36.
Round 7: [Inc, sc in next 5 sc] 6 times – 42.
Rounds 8-20: Sc in each sc around. At the end of Round 20, join with a slip st in next sc.
Round 21:q Ch 4 (counts as a dc and ch-1), skip next sc, *dc in next sc, ch 1, skip next sc; repeat from * around; join with a slip st in 3rd ch of ch-3.
Round 22: Ch 1, 2 sc in each ch-1 space around; join with a slip st in first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends. Make 1 or 2 twisted cords starting with a 3-yard length of yarn for each. Bring the cut ends together and tie a knot close to the ends forming a large loop. Secure the knotted end to a stable surface or have a friend hold the end. Slip a pencil into the loop and hold the yarn just below the loop and the pencil. Holding the yarn taut, twirl the pencil, thereby twisting the yarn, until the entire length is tightly twisted and begins to twist back upon itself. Bring the loop end and the knotted end together. Tie with an overhand knot. Trim the ends. Smooth out the kinks so that the cord lies flat and is evenly twisted along its length. Weave each cord through the ch-1 spaces of Round 21 (in opposite directions if using 2). Knot ends of cord together; trim ends.

Headband

I have a black metallic/iron headband (1 cm thin). It's color has faded so I decided to improvise it for my daughter.
Use a 3.25 mm hook or 3.5 mm hook and a black yarn.
Start with Ch85 (or according to your headband's size), Skip 3 Ch and do a DC continuously until the last chain.
Fasten off.
Now, insert your headband in each of your single DC of your headband, alternately, up and down. Your headband will look like it's inside without doing extra stitches.
You may attach and simply stitch a contrasting color flower crochet on the right side of your headband.

Pouch

This is the latest one I've done, I intended to crochet a pouch and thought of putting a strap so it can be used a side bag too, but the strap can be kept inside the pouch if I prefer to use it as a pouch. I really like this one cos the outcome is better than my previous work.
I used a size 10 hook - 3.25mm and D(US). Anyway I always use 10 only. I only got few sizes of hooks; 12, 10, and 9. Tried finding a bigger hooks in my city, unfortunately its unavailable. The sizes available in my city are 10, 11, and 12 only which is a bit strange.

Cell pouch

This one is actually one of the first crochet work I've done.
Size -  7cm x 12cm
Color - red and green
Single crochet only
Hook size- 3.25mm

Start with chain 13. Single crochet for next row until you reach 26 rows - this is for the red yarn. For the green rows start attaching the green yarn by starting a chain 1. Do 3 rows for the first side and another 3 rows for the other side. Now fold it and the height will be approx 12cm. I did slip stitch for closing the sides.

Side Bag - Solid Granny Square

I did 2 solid granny squares (5 rounds each) on this one following the pattern of Teresa Richardson. I just used a dark red yarn instead of a pink one. Then for the side part I did 2 rows of double crochet with a length of 30 cms. using a pink yarn for a contrast color. I used black yarn to attach the pink side and the solid granny square together.
I think, the size of the granny square is around 11cm x 11 cm. The strap can be of any size depends on who will use it. I did this for my daughter.
